The Baytown Historical Preservation Association is pleased to welcome back Texas historian Mike Vance as the next speaker for their Saturday History Lecture Series.
Mike Vance, a writer, producer, and historian, will tell the true story of Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker — the two most famous outlaws in a crime-ridden history of Texas. The lecture will include rare photos and draws on more than a dozen memoirs about the famous couple from the 1930s, including a handful of their specific robberies.
Vance is one of the best history storytellers in Southeast Texas. You may have seen him on television, heard him on the radio, or read about his Texas history work in the newspaper.
He has worked on many Houston and Texas history-related projects, including the Platinum Remi award-winning documentary “Houston: A Nation’s Capitol” and the television history series “Postcards from Texas.”
