Although it feels like we just left the year 2019 and that January felt like a year in itself, spring is right around the corner.

I can feel spring starting to creep up. Other than the obvious warmer weather, I can sense all of the other tells spring shares before its arrival. For example, the days are slowly growing longer. It’s no longer dark at 4 p.m. Soon trees will start to bloom, grass will begin to grow, and I won’t be able to breathe through both of my nostrils at the same time for a solid month and half, it’s great! I can’t wait.

I also can’t wait for baseball, because baseball’s opening day has always acted as an unofficial start of spring to me. The green grass, the crack of the bat, the aimlessly wandering around the outfield waiting for something to happen, everything about baseball is great. Everything, except for the current Houston Astros.

Granted, the Houston Astros have people talking about baseball during its offseason, something only TV analysts and diehard fans seem to do. As a baseball fan myself, I’ll admit most years I don’t…
