Only once before has a Pennsylvania team made it to this national tournament.

After winning the PIAA Class 5A championship last year, the Red Land High School baseball team is set to defend its title.

Gaining national attention this year, the Patriots will have the opportunity to play some of the best high school baseball teams in the country.

The Patriots were invited to the ninth annual National High School Invitational, held in Cary, North Carolina, for the first time in school history.

When head coach Nate Ebbert received the invitation from USA Baseball, he was excited for the opportunity to compete on the national stage.

“This will be a great challenge for our team to compete at a high level early in the season,” Ebbert said. 

The tournament runs from April 1-4 and features 16 teams across nine states. Red Land is the only team from Pennsylvania and the only team from the northeast in the field. The team is only the second school in tournament history to represent the state of Pennsylvania….
